September Program

Dave Bell Workshop
If you have, please bring loom, warping board, shuttle, yarn and other equipment to start a weaving project. Paper and pen is also needed. Please bring a lunch to share. We’ll make coffee and tea and have plates and utensils. Those not participating in the program are welcome to come and observe. The guild is paying Dave but a donation would be nice. Don’t forget those little things like scissors, sley hooks, lee sticks etc. 

October Program

David Sluder will show us how to do Kumihemi. Please bring embroidery floss or warping thread.

November Program

Janet Smouse will show us how to weave on material. If available pleas bring 6” embroidery hoop, tapestry needle, scissors. Floss will be provided. Bring if you have. Attention!!! Christmas Bazaar:  We will have for sale the fibers of Donna Wellman and Ilene Elliston. Bring a bag to carry it all home.

December Program

Our 2009 Challenge Project is due. Bring food to share and a gift for the exchange

Hello, my name is Terri Nelson and I am interested in learning to weave. I have tried with little success to find the weavers guild in my area. I live in Albion PA. Any help or info you could lend would be greatly appreciated.

The Canyon Country Fiber Arts Guild announces their first Fall FIber Fling. It will be held November 6 - 8 on the grounds of the Historic Coach Stop Inn near Wellsboro, PA. The weekend will kick off Friday evening with a free lecture by Phylleri Ball on Natural Dyeing. All day Saturday there will be workshops available as well as a gathering room for those who just want to spin or knit. Sunday morning there will also be workshops available. There are also hikes, horseback riding and a covered wagon ride available. There will be vendors on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night will finish with a Chinese Auction!
